Welcome to Glimpse/ — An intimate look into the life of professional snowboarder Scotty James. Coming off another heater of a competitive halfpipe season, Scotty invites us behind the scenes as he prepares for a winter that promises to be different than any season we've seen before, for snowboarders and for the world at large.
Kicking off in Australia last September, we join Scotty James as he packs his bags and skips town to Switzerland. From there Scotty settles in, starts waiting for snow, and invites us along for the ride.
Scotty James Is Stoked To Get Back On The Snow
Scotty James and Pecky arrive in Switzerland ahead of the LAAX Open and set up a meeting with master halfpipe builder Jeremy Carpenter about building a pipe in Australia. Jeremy believes it can be done—but the cost might be more than Pecky bargained for.
Splitboarding In The Swiss Alps With Scotty James
The snow has arrived in Switzerland, and Scotty James is training to get into fighting shape in Saas Fee. With a storm shutting down the halfpipe for a few days, Scotty takes us on a tour to see what other kinds of riding the area has to offer. Earn some turns with Scotty as the crew climbs into the Swiss backcountry for a splitboarding adventure, then head back to the halfpipe for his final practice laps before the contest season starts.
Scotty James Opens The Halfpipe Season In Laax
At long last, Scotty James is back in the contest bib and competing again. The Laax Open in January was the first halfpipe event of 2021 and Scotty showed up in fighting shape, ready to don the red boxing mitts and drop in to win. Due to COVID-19 regulations, no fans were allowed and the riders were subject to a strict standard of testing and safety protocols that made this year's event look like nothing we've ever seen before — here's your backstage pass to witness what went down in Laax.

It's finally time for X Games, the biggest show on snow. Scotty James arrived in Aspen ready to entertain under the lights, hunting for his 6th career X Games medal at the second halfpipe event of the 2021 season.

A last-minute change to the contest calendar has Scotty James back in Colorado to compete, this time at the 2021 FIS Snowboard World Championships. Originally scheduled to take place in China, the comp went down in Aspen instead, and Scotty wrapped up his season in the halfpipe chasing yet another podium finish.
