SUBJECTS: Caity Simmers
Caity Simmers, the pride of Oceanside, California, welcomes you into her home to show us the streets, locals and lineups that raised one of the most talented pro surfers in the world.
The Hometown Hero's Hunt for a World Title
The 2023 WSL World Title is on the line and Griffin Colapinto is trying to take the trophy in his own backyard, at his own home break, in the Rip Curl WSL Finals at Lower Trestles in San Clemente, CA. Born and raised a cobblestone's throw from Lowers, this is an intimate look behind the scenes of an entire surf town rallying behind one of their homegrown, hometown heroes as Griffin chases the glory of someday becoming a World Champ.
5x World Champ Carissa Moore On Life, Love, and Surfing
The plan was simple: surprise Carissa Moore with a custom made scrapbook detailing moments large and small from her venerable career, and let her reactions do the talking. When we got the chance to connect with Carissa’s closest friends and family members to create a roadmap of personal snapshots from her life, we knew we’d walk away with an interview that would reveal a lesser seen side of the five time world champion.

Race & Surfing: A Brief History With Selema Masekela
Surfing’s history – from Africa to Polynesia to the Americas – is one that’s rich, diverse, and incredibly nuanced. So much so, that we are only beginning to scratch the surface and understand it.
In the first episode of “In Plain Sight”, a five-part series that creatively unveils subjects and personalities shaped by surfing, Selema Masekela explores the varied roots of surfing’s origin and its cultural evolution into what we recognize today.
Zoltan Torkos | The Surfing Magician
This episode dives deep into the story of Zoltan, the magician who dedicated much of his life to not only a unique style of surfing, but one particular move — the kickflip. Channeling his skateboard skills and background in making magic happen, Zoltan was fairly obsessed with landing a kickflip on a surfboard while riding a wave.
Subjects: Kolohe Andino
In early 2021, we convinced Kolohe Andino to come sit down with us and our cameras. We met him at a neutral location with little provided detail of what we wanted to talk about. It was instantly clear that with competition on the WSL Championship Tour on hold, Kolohe had taken advantage of the downtime and used it to mature into a more thoughtful, creative, and dynamic surfer and human.
The City Surf Project
Within the San Francisco city limits, the beach is never more than 7 miles away. But still, more than 80% of the local youth population has never been in the ocean. The City Surf Project aims to change that, and for the last decade they've made it their mission to introduce surfing to a new generation of wave riders all over the Bay Area.
